Sharmaynes experience in this class has been amazing. she has met strangers that turned into friends and came a step further in reaching her goal. She was so nervous starting college but these beautiful ladies really made it feel like a safe place to try and more importantly to fail and learn from that mistake. They had many group projects where They forgot They where in class due to all of the laughter. They where sometimes separated which forced Them to step out of our comfort zones like when They read Their memoirs out loud for the first time. If you read sharmaynes memoir you understand how difficult her topic was. If it where not for these ladies holding sharmayne tightly crying with her in a parking lot she would still have an unbearable secret inside of her screaming to get out. If it where not for this life choice memoir sharmayne would have never had the courage to tell her truth Working with others help sharmayne to grow as a student she feels like she doesn't have to be a hermit. after this class Sharmayne is a more confident student. Thank you ladies for making this journey that much better.
Author: Sharmayne Williams Title: One day at a time Date: April 21, 2018 When Sharmayne first started Mr. Sabatinos English 100 class she was nervous scared even. Sharmayne hasn’t been in school in over nine years she had to relearn everything. The scariest part of going back to school was the thought of failing. Sharmayne had two small children who were her motivation. The first day of class Sharmayne was nervous and excited to start her journey. Sharmayne walked into the room and took her seat in the front row which would be her seat for the next three months. Sharmayne chose to sit in the first row because she has poor vison also her mind tends to wonder so she wanted to be front and center. After meeting her teacher sharmayne was so relieved he was so down to earth. Mr. Sabatino entertained while informing which made the fact that she leaves her children for three hours to be there fade. As the weeks went on thanks to the blog posts sharmayne found herself getting passionate about topics she thought didn’t concern her. Like the prison system which she chose as a topic for her research paper thanks to a film she watched in class called Where to invade next. Even the class discussions are entertaining and the examples like when Mr.sabatino was explaining like when he when on a date with ethos and made out with himself. Not everything was a walk in the park some assignments hit a sensitive area for sharmayne like Hills like white elephants which was inspired her Life choice memoir. There was another assignment should I stay or should I go that brought up a past relationship. Some of the best experiences she had that will turn into memories was the people she met that turned into friends her first row possie. The group assignments always where sharmaynes favorit she got to pick other people’s brain which most of the time gave her great ideas. Sharmayne is almost at the end of her class but is nowhere near the finish line she has two more years of school and many more obstacles before reaching her goal. The things that sharmayne has learned in her class will fuel the many assignments she has coming her way like how to write a college paper. Even how to make a web page which she has succeeded in and how to manage it. In this class sharmayne learned there is no wrong writing process whatever helps you create. Sharmayne’s writing process is to simply be comfortable in her environment and refreshed and ready to work. Take a shower eat a snack take a nap I know what your thinking she has a time consuming process that’s why she needs the day off of work to do it . Sharmayne has learned so much in this class that she is no longer nervous about school this class was her ice breaker the. The things sharmayne learned in her class along with all the notes she took will follow her to her goal of being a college graduate. Welcome back to my blog page today i will be reviewing reflective writing. Below I have provided a link to a reflective writing video Reflective Writing. I will also be answering a few questions about my writing process I used while writing my research paper.
In this blog i will be providing an annotated bibliography for my research paper. I will be providing at least six source's for my research paper. Each paragraph will begin with the source entry. Each one of my source's will contain three paragraphs. The first paragraph will summarize the source. The second paragraph will evaluate the text. Lastly the third paragraph will explain how the source material is relevant for my research paper. My research question which was inspired by the film Where to invade next is: Should prisoner's in America be allowed to vote?. Source 1

In this blog post I will select three different topics from the movie Where to Invade Next,. For each topic I have created a question which I will defend. I will now Provide a link to my previous blog post. summary-and-rhetorical-analysis-of-where-to-invade-next.html. 1. Topic : The prison system
In the movie Where to invade next Michael Moore gave me a lot of insight on how other countries operate. This movie also gave insight on how other countries system's have an effect on its population's well-being. There nine countries Michael Moore invades. In hopes of bringing some idea's America has thrown away and forgotten back. One being Free college. I have provided a list of other free college countries below. In the documentary Where to Invade Next, Michael Moore traveled to different countries including Italy, France, Finland, Slovenia, Germany, Portugal, Norway, Tunisia, And Iceland. Many different countries. Most had one thing in common. They put the wellbeing of their people first. Weather it came down to the healthy school lunches France children received. The long paid vacations and five month maternity leave in Italy especially caught my attention. The free college Slovenia offers to Slovenians and Americans. Picture that going to another country and being given the same opportunity not to go into debt. Michael Moore traveled to many countries. Many countries said the same thing. America tried this first. I don't see what could of went wrong. Why could we not see our great ideas through. Maybe America has commitment issues. All of the countries explored operate the complete opposite of America and are thriving. In conclusion I think the main idea of this film was to show us Americas forgotten idea's and how they are thriving in other countries.
Hello welcome back to my page if this is your first time visiting welcome todays post is going to be going over some questions that pertain to my life choice memoir which will be uploaded at a later time . before we start on the questions I'm going to leave a short video about reflective writing here's a link to help you understand Reflective Writing.
Who did you work with to compose your life-choice memoir? Was this a good approach? I didn't work with anybody I was to embarrassed this is the first time talking about this topic . iv been pretty much alone when it came to this topic . I believe my approach could of been better but at the time I felt so alone so by bottling it up it gave the illusion that I fine but I was crumbling on the inside.
